I did a quick search on Airbnb, Bayonne, entire home, up to $75US for 4 people (guessing on particulars). Loads of options so I don't think there's any need to camp. Adjust location and filters to suit: http://tinyurl.com/hvguu3s

I'm guessing then, you'll actually be camping more than 1 night altogether. I thought it was just that once, hence my suggestion to not bother. I have no experience (in Europe) to help but am sure it'll be fun. Or at least make good stories later!

What exactly are you looking for when you talk about "camping"? The places called campgrounds in that area are basically parks for RVs and have swimming pools, etc. You can also rent cabins for a week. these places are not particularly cheap, although compared to a hotel I guess they are. That is very prime, expensive property in that area.

Are you looking for some place you can pitch a tent and sleep in sleeping bags in a forest or something like that?
