Dog Sled, Aurora & Niagara!!
Hello
I need your help and guidance please!! We are flying from JFK to BUF on Feb 18th - Staying in Niagara 2 nights to do the typical tourist Falls stuff then...... What next?
We really really want to give ourselves the best opportunity to experience Aurora (I know its not guaranteed) and go dog sledding or snow mobiling. I have been looking at Yellowknife which ticks all the boxes but is a little tricky to get to (trains, taxis & flights). Were not afraid of the Feb temperatures and are open to any/all suggestions!
Can anyone suggest something a little easier to get to but still experience the above?
We are leaving Canada on 23rd for Vegas so only have 3 nights after Niagara. It maybe that Yellowstone is the best option but lets see what fun ideas you come up with. I have looked at Via Train to Winnipeg but not sure watching the scenery (as beautiful as it is) would excite us like the activities would?
Looking forward to your suggestions.....

Canada is a Huge country... Three days including travel seems impossible for any kind of worthwhile experience... Train travel is slow and boring... You could jet to a destination, do your task, but it seems like a terrible waste of money...
I would just just add Toronto to Niagara for the extra three days...

Thanks garyt22
Wish we had 3 weeks to travel but unfortunately we only have 5 nights to explore...
We think 2 nights in Niagara will be long enough and want to move on for the next 3 nights
Any other suggestions??

Move on to Vegas early and side trip to explore, Arizona, the Grand Canyon, or any number of sights within driving distance ov Vegas... Weather is better and you will make better use of time and budget on your short trip...

You don't have to go to the far north for dog sledding. There are opportunities in Algonquin Park, about 3 hours drive north of Toronto . You might even see the Northern Lights, but I wouldn't count on it.

One full day will give you a good tour of the Niagara region (if you have a car.) That's enough and requires a night at each end. Then go to Toronto, consuming a half day to move. Fly home from there. Nothing else is reasonable; all those other regions in your tag should be left to another trip with more time (or left to dreaming.)
