Lisbon for 2 Days
My wife and I, and possibly 3 of my in-laws will have two full days (Tuesday/Wednesday) to spend in Lisbon in October. Need advise on maximizing stay that will include a visit to Fatima.... the must-haves, the must-not-miss stuff... Hotel will be in the city centre.... Cheers

As you've already set aside one day to visit Fatima, what are you interested in seeing/doing with the one day you have left?
Also, are you planning on being in Fatima on 13 October? It's one of the most important Pilgrimage dates, so you need to plan ahead.

Fatima is a waste of time. It really is a horrific freak show of a place. Cheap, tacky gift shops and whack job visitors crawling on hands and knees. More high camp than a drag show of Tallulah Bankhead impersonators.
Spend time visiting Jeronimos Monastery, Castelo Sao Jorge, Gulbenkian Museum, and Alfama district.
If you must do a day trip, at least visit beautiful Sintra, not disgusting
Fatima.

Pepper pls. be aware that other people/religion regard Fatima as a sacred place... yes, it's tacky with numerous tourist shops but still a place of worship to lots and as such we should respect and tolerate them... to each his own.
