Looking for three fabulous London dinners

My husband and I are traveling to Europe in April and will have 3 days in London. Not a lot - we know, but we'd like to make the most of it. And for us, that means capping off each day with an excellent meal. We aren't into tasting menus, nor are we into haute couture dining. We love great food which to us is really the classics prepared perfectly, maybe with a twist here and there. Fantastic cocktails are also a plus.

We're staying in the Shoreditch but don't mind venturing out for a good meal. Any suggestions?

One of my favourites is the Pont de la Tour, right by Tower Bridge:

If the weather is kind in April, then try and eat on one of the outside tables, but you will need to book.

For three fabulous dinners, take the train to Paris.

(I know, this is not exactly helpful, but so true.)

I also like Le Pont de la Tour.

Brasserie Zedel is very reasonable, great French food and gorgeous interior.

When I read that you are in Shoreditch I had to share with you my FAVORITE London restaurant... Merchants Tavern. Run, don't walk to book it now. You can book on Opentable.com. Be sure to have their signature starter; fois gras and quail. They also have fantastic cocktails. You may want to book all three of your nights there!

Traveller1959 that is just ridiculous. London is an amazing foodie heaven. Just do the slightest bit of research.

Www.opentable.co.uk is easy to make reservations and easy to look at reviews.

Our favourites tend to be the ones with tasting menus but there is amazing food in London at every price point and for every taste. From street food to Michelin starred restaurants you can find fabulous food in London.
