There is no problem with a drop off in Paris. There is just a fee for doing so.

Depending on your itinerary you should look at both options - 2 different cars versus just one for the trip - to see the price differential for your dates, number of days and car type.

Are the "problems" relevant to you? If not, there is no benefit in doing anything about it.

Unless you have a specific reason to drive from Barcelona toward the French border it might make more sense to take the train to Perpignan or Narbonne and pick up the car there. To get a sense of cost, try Autoeurope or Kemwel. If you are willing to let your credit car carry the CDW, look at their "basic" rate.

Go to Autoeurope's website and using a map, look at their pick up/drop off locations. We did this when going from Portugal to Spain and took a taxi between the two car rental locations. The problem in keeping the car across borders is a large drop off fee.

Hi all. All great comments. Really like the idea of taking the car. Happy Trvlr has a great suggestion. So will check that out. Also like Michaels Idea... will check that out on my map too.

Greg.. only problems I see was the drop off of the car but all sorted now. Thanks
