Munich hotels with adjoining rooms
Daughter and son-in-law will be traveling with two daughters. Would like to find a hotel with either a separate bedroom and sofa bed in living area or two adjoining rooms with interior door between them. Is anyone familiar with a hotel in Munich that would have such facilities preferably at a price under $500 euros per night? Or do you know of typical European hotel chains that typically offer such facilities, e.g. Mercure, Novotel, etc. that may have rooms in Munich? Thanks for any help you can provide.

The Marriott has rooms with two double beds (American style). The Novotel München City has family rooms with beds for 4, also Hotel Monaco in the City Centre.
There are probably many more options.

I would recommend a unit with two bedrooms. Adjoining room booking is usually only a request. The hotel does not have to provide adjoining rooms to satisfy the booking terms and conditions. I have gotten such rooms about 50% of the time when I made a request.

There is a brand new Marriott Residence Inn 2 blocks from the Ost Bahnhof in the upscale Haidhausen neighborhood that offers connecting rooms at 219 euro each (ref the Terrace studio for connecting rooms). This is an extremely nice hotel, you won't have to deal with a dinky double bed, 4 tram stops east of center. Tram stops in front of the hotel. Train from airport to Ost Bahnhof and walk to hotel easy even with children.
