Restaurant favorites in Stresa and Bellagio

We are heading that way soon. Would love your recommendations for lunch and dinner in both locations. We aren't opposed to a more expensive dinner but would prefer to keep dinner (secondo) at about 20 - 30 euros. And we won't turn down less expensive meals either. Lunch about 10 -15 euros. IF there are Prix fixe as in France, that would be great.
Thanks~

Bellagio- Barchetta is our favorite and have celebrated special events there. Alle Darsena( in Loppia just beyond south end of Melzi Gardens)is excellent too., La Grotta for pizza, La Punta for really spectacular views. Bilacus at top of main stairway. Silvio, however a car or taxi are needed, short distance but not really walkable. San Giacomo not that good however is popular. Stay away from lakefront promendae except for Hotel Florence's waterfront dining.

We just returned from Bellagio Monday. What a fabulous trip we had! We had dinners at Bilicus, La Punta, Hotel Florence restaurant, and Forma e Gusta on the last night. My absolute favorite was Hotel Florence restaurant. Forma e Gusta was a very casual pizzeria - delicious. All were good but I was disappointed in my selection at Bilicus - And in actiality I preferred dining lakeside. Hope this helps.

Just outside Bellagio we ate at the following restaurant. This was a few years ago, but I believe that it is an institution and there is no reason to think that it no longer exists:

" Our evening meal was at Silvio. We ordered from every course and were not disappointed. The pasta came with a fish egg sauce that was a little too strong, but the waiter had warned us and we decided that we had to try it anyway. All the fish dishes are based on fish caught in the lake and delivered directly to them. There are essentially two kinds of fish: a type of trout and a type of sardine or smelt. When it came to pay, they told us that the credit card machine was broken and that we had to pay cash."

I have stayed at the Hotel Florence twice and the lakeside dining venue cannot be beat. Just perfect.

We ate dinner in Bellaggio at:
1. La Fontana - my favorite meal! We sat outdoors with no real view but a spectacular sunset. Beautiful presentation, lovely maitre'd and excellent food at reasonable prices. [next to mini mart]
2.San Giacomo - it was good and we got in with no wait.
3. Bilacus - very good.
4. Hotel Florence. I wasn't thrilled here. It was breezy out so we opted to eat indoors. For most of our meal, we were the only ones in the dining room - so it was a mixed feeling of being alone [romantic] and too quite.

Stresa - we had a lovely dinner at La Botte; a very nice dinner at the restaurant of the Hotel Fiorentino [great prices]
Our first night, we were tired and hungry and just wandered. Had pizza at Risortante La Rosa del Venti and it was awful. Avoid!
One other that I cannot remember the name, but it wasn't memorable, good or not good, just so so.

Actually we did not have pizza at La Rosa del Venti - I had lasagna and I cannot remember what DH had. Mine was tasteless. Tasted like frozen, reheated commercially prepared.
