London accommodations location

London accommodations location
Hi,
We'll be spending 3 nights in London in May. We are 3 adults. We are arriving by Eurostar from Paris late night into St. Pancras. So far all I know is that we will see Les Mis at the Queen's Theatre. We will leave the next morning from Heathrow. Any suggestions about where to stay affordably. Will consider anything as long as clean and safe for 3 young women. Other must sees for such a short time and never having been there? any help?

In terms of location, anywhere along the Piccadilly Line would be convenient for both St Pancras and Heathrow, and the obvious choices would be somewhere in Bloomsbury between Kings Cross/St Pancras and Russell Square stations on that line.

I'm confused - how can you arrive late at night (11pm?) and then see Les Miz, then leave the next am?
Am I missing something?
Or do you mean you will arrive in late afternoon? Or are there additional days you are staying in London?
And yes, you need to provide a budget in pounds for useful recos.

And what is "affordably"? If you're all young hedge fund managers, the term's definition changes.

Because London is our last stop I haven't yet had time to research it well. I'm hoping to at least get accommodations made soon. I will fill in the details in coming weeks. So, of course there is plenty of information out there. The problem is that there is so much out there. Narrowing it down is helpful, even if it is 'obvious' to everyone else.
What I know is that we are arriving around 10p.m. to St. Pancras. We will need to check into our hotel and be staying for 3 nights. The night before we leave we will see Les Mis at the Queen's Theatre. Our departure will be from Heathrow around 11:00 a.m.
Budget...well 2 of us are college students and no not hedge fund managers. We would even consider a hostel if that is helpful. Otherwise without knowing what to expect in hotel costs I would guess around $200 per night, sharing a room with all 3. We are more concerned about cleanliness and safety than anything else. Of course beyond that, ambiance, location, amenities and such will be considered.
None of us have been to London so what may be obvious to you may not be to us. I'm looking for the 'assume we know nothing about the city' kind of advice but please be respectful. We aren't stupid just inexperienced in this particular city and we have a short amount of time.
We aren't interested in shopping or drinking, just famous sights and tips for affordability. We will have a Sunday and Monday for sightseeing.

Start by clicking on DESTINATIONS at the top of this page - lots of information there. What sorts of things interest you? Museums/galleries? History? Shopping? Walking tours? Fashion? Something else?
$200 = approx £130 which is doable for a triple but will take some searching. The usual budget recommendations (Premier Inn and Travelodge) allow 4 in a room -- but two must be children. Maybe some of the Travelodges have actual triple rooms - I'm not sure about that.

There are some great value accommodations around Paddington which I would recommend. If you are happy to consider a hostel these are a step up from that and where we will be staying in our next annual Wimbledon trip.

YHA's St. Pancras hostel is practically across the street from the station. http://www.yha.org.uk/hostel/london-st-pancras While I haven't stayed there, the other YHA locations we used in the UK were all excellent.
