Freedom Flashback, Splendor Here We Come

As we prepare for our last official “College Spring Break Cruise”, at least for the next thirteen years or so, I take a trip down memory lane from our March 2013 cruise.

Our first port of call St Thomas was beautiful as usual although I remember being disappointed by the attitude of the bartender at “The Home Of The World Famous Daiquiri”. The best thing about our visit there was the view from their outside patio.

I still believe the best daiquiris in the world are at “The Daiquiri Shack” at Cable Beach in the Bahamas. Here if you have the right bartender working you will get to add your own rum and as much as you like.

From St Thomas our next stop Antigua was the highlight of this cruise. An island tour with a stop at Valley Church Beach along with great views of Montserrat twenty seven miles away, just could not be beat. To top the day off it turned out to be a beautiful sunset as we set sail for Tortola.

I know “Carnival Legends” was scheduled to be a thing of the past but when I dawn a wig and a purple suede jumpsuit, I do feel good like I would, so good, .... so good.

Splendor in less than 27 days, “Spring Break 2015” here we come.

Very nice. Thanks for the link. We have stops in St. Thomas and Tortola as well as Nassau with our upcoming May 2 cruise on the NCL Getaway. So how did you like Tortola? We have never been there before. Do they use USD or Pounds?

jacketwatch - We visitied Tortola in 2013. We took a cab from the port to Brewer's Bay on the other side of the island. It was the scariest ride of my life! The beach was incredible though. We were able to pay for everything in USD.

jacketwatch,

We did NCL Getaway last year.. be sure to "Walk The Plank" and do it while you are at sea

Loved Tortola.. and did not have an experience like "trvlgirlmq" although I could see how the hills and curves along with island driving can give someone a scare. The scenery though is amazing!

CCL Vista booked for September 2016. We are doing 10 day from Athens with disembarkation in Barcelona.

trvlgirlmq... will be looking forward to hearing about your experience and any tips you have to pass along.

We are also excited about this cruise and think for under $2k we got a great deal

We are doing the same itinerary. If I can figure out how to post pictures I will probably do a review on Cruise Critic but will also report here! Can't wait to try the Seafood Shack.
