We are interested in booking on this airline to Spain with a return from Lisbon. However, we cannot choose seats before paying. Has anyone flown this airline and what are the chances of good seats for May, 2015 at this time?

Heck - on many airlines anymore you can't select seats even after you pay. Some not til 24 hours before departure and some not til at the airport.

TAP is fine.

Made reservations on TAP and had no problem getting good seats. So, question is answered!

Hope you get to keep them! Despite buying tickets 6 months before our trip to Madeira and checking in ONLiNE at the appropriate time , we found out at checkin that they gave our seats away? When asked why when we booked 4 aisles across from each other,we were told" that they needed our seats to keep families together"! When looking at who had gotten our seats, I laughed out loud to see it was a woman with two grown sons in their twenties and another set of 3 women friends going on a hen party trip!
Our return flight home was equally a screw job too! Hope it works our for you!

FYI-Was told by two different check in agents that they don't have to honor your seat selection OR the fact that you checked in online to keep them!

But that is the case w/ just about every airline isn't it???

Seats aren't guaranteed.
