In case you might be interested but didn’t see it, I have posted a review of Air France’s Premium Economy from Dulles to Europe on the Air Travel forum. Here is the link.

Nice review. I like the fact that you had storage for your belongings. I have always been nervous about flying them because of the strikes. So glad it worked out for you.

Sign. We were supposed to be flying Premium Economy on the 380, but due to the AF strike we did not. We did fly PE back from Paris, but not on the 380. We thought the small cabin, the service, the food and beverage upgrades from economy were very good; perhaps we will try them again when I get over that week of conversations re strike options for our flight, and IF we ever get the promised refund for the economy seats on Lufthansa that we ended up with for the flight over.

Thanks for this, tom18. We're considering splurging (I guess it's a mini-splurge really) on AF PE for a trip next year, so thanks much for providing all that detail.

We flew regular economy on the A380 to Paris from L.A. in September. Comfortable, good service, and the food wasn't bad either. If you don't want to spend the extra money, you'll be fine also.
