Unfortunately, you are not going to find many Sandals fans on this forum. There are not a lot of AI's fans here either. I'm just one of the very few exceptions. I have been to 2 Sandals, but not in Jamaica. After our experience with them as well as many other AI resorts, we found Sandals not to be worth it.
Most people recommend Whitehouse outside of Negril. We did stay at the Jewell Dunn's River in Ocho Rios, which used to be a Sandals. We found the resort much better in service and food as well as much lower in price than the 2 Sandals we have been too.
All the Sandals resorts are not created equal. It would probably help if you could be more specific as to what you are looking for in a vacation so that the few here that have the knowledge can direct you appropriately.

You might what to try this forum also. Almost everything about all the Sandals resorts.

I have been on that site for years also. I found it interesting that most of the long term Sandals followers on that forum switched their loyalty to the AI resorts in Mexico. Truly, there is really no comparison. You get so much more at a much better price in Mexico.

Help us out a bit - Why do you want to go to Sandals? Have you traveled independently before?
We went to a destination wedding at Sandals, Negril. I would not go again, so I'm not sure that you want details from me, but I'm willing to share!

I stayed at Sandals Grand Riveria 3 years ago. IF you have specific questions ask away. There were 4 couples and we occupied a villa with our own pool hillside. Beach isn't that great. Grounds are massive-2resorts in one. Had to take a shuttle from the hillside to most restaurants/beach... I loved it. But I liked having our own full size pool with friends..... Ask any questions you might have.....
