Hotel Niza or Inglaterra

My wife and I are visiting San Sebastian in May and we are down to these to hotels. Any thoughts for or against either one of them?

The Niza is nice, it belongs to the Chillida family (www.museochillidaleku.com), but it cannot be compared to the 4-star luxury Boutique Hotel Inglaterra. Go for a sea view room at the Inglaterra. The Niza also has sea view rooms, but they will not confirm a reservation.

In either case, make sure you book directly with the hotel.

Different locations, different price ranges.
Inglaterra is much closer to the city center and a higher class hotel.
The Niza reception is minimally staffed (usually just one) while Inglaterra has team of people working at the ground floor to attend to arriving and departing clients.

The Hotel de Londres y de Inglaterra has been one of our favorite properties in San Sebastian-Donostia for several years for one reason, great service. The Villa Soro is our other favorite.
