Very interesting, great wording specially the Cerro Chato hike part. Would love to see more photos! And about the British couple and the bus to Cerro Chato: those Brits have a weird sense of humour. There is no road up the Cerro Chato. They must have referred to the bus that have taken them to Arenal Observatory Lodge, which is a second access point for this hike. Yet it still involves a demanding uphill hike.
