Rail - Zermatt to Zurich

Hi, I would like to seek some advice on which website/how/where I can get rail tickets from Zermatt to Zurich... We are leaving Zermatt on a Sunday, and heading to Zurich. We are staying in Zurich for another 2 days.
I have googled and saw on the Rail Europe Websites and Swiss Rail websites.. The cost appears very different - Rail Europe costs about AUD350 for 2, while Swiss Rail costs CHF120 for 2?
Which website is the best place for me to get my rail tickets?? Or is getting a rail pass more cost effective?
Thanks for any advice!

RailEurope is a marketing arm and tickets are sometimes marked up, etc.

I would use the www.sbb.ch/en website which has the entire schedule and you can buy your tickets and print them out at home if you do so within a specified time period.

Now, you can WAIT until 50 other people tell you the exact same thing if you wish.

Hi jneo,

Just one thing to keep in mind --

The SBB site usually defaults to the Half Fare Card because so many residents and visitors have that when they travel in Switzerland. So, when you use it to look at the fares, make sure the HFC box is UNchecked.

There are many different passes and discount card that most visitors use to cut the price of tickets. I personally favor the Half Fare Card -- you can look at all of them at

www.swisstravelsystem.com

Have fun as you plan!

Hi, Thank you both for the replies! =) I will have a look at the websites suggested..

Just another (silly) question - we are getting tickets for end september... And I realised that I currently cannot get tickets on the Swiss Rail website (only valid between 20/07/14 - 19/08/14).
Does the website normally only allow sale of tickets 4weeks in advance only??

I have never purchased simple rail tickets in Switzerland in advance, so unsure about the 4 week thing. Trains leave Zermatt hourly for Zurich HB (main town, not airport) at 8:38/9:39/19:39/11:39, etc arriving Zurich HB at 11:58/12:58/13:58/14:58, etc
changing in Visp.
2nd class one-way per person price is 119 CHF,
1st class one-way pp is 209 CHF. I'd just purchase for the correct date when you arrive in Zermatt!
