After Rome for a few days at the beach...but Where??
Hello and thank you in advance for any and all suggestions! I will be in Rome for a few days and want to end up at the beach for 2-3 days before returning home. Looking for someplace easy to get to (flying out of Fumicino) - Terracina, Sperlonga or Gaeta?? Or north?? I don't want family, just nice beach/pool and great food!! I won't have a car...unless it's easier and I can drop at Airport. Thank you!!

on the coast near Giglio is the ancient city of Orbetello, with a number of great restaurants and on a lagoon with lovely beaches backed by a forest to protect it from the winds. interesting places to visit too.
it's a 150 km drive up the coast from Rome, or you can get there on the train from Rome Termini.
