places to stay in fjords

Hello, I have two nights available to stay in the Western Fjords area, before heading back to Bergen to take a flight at 5:00pm the day. I can't figure out where to stay. Should we stay in one location 2 nights? If so what location is best? And should I book through Fjords.com and purchase a fjords pass to get a discount now vs. doing it in Bergen once we get there. We are going to be there August 1, 2nd and leaving the 3rd. I have read that this is a very busy time for the area, so is it better to book ahead. I also have a car reserved in Bergen to drive to the area, but keep thinking it would be better to take public transportation. Also can we keep our luggage at the Bergen airport for two days? I know so many questions. But any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi all, I am having a hard time finding lodging in the fjords that is not exorbitant. Any help would be appreciated.

Re.: Fjordpass - If you buy on-line it's just a reference number which you can print out at home.
If you are taking the Flåm railway then consider Vatnahalsen - quite reasonable with a Fjordpass- The Fjordpass web site lists other hotels.

Thanks dyoll for the reply, We have a car reserved in Bergen, but can't make up my mind if we should do the train. I will check with the cost of fjord pass, how much the hotel will be.
