Tips for Royal Caribbean trip

My wife and I will be cruising in early May on Royal Caribbean to Port Canaveral, Fla., and 1 day each at Nassau and CocoCay in the Bahamas. We both have chronic pain issues and are risking it anyway.
We are not interested in drinking/gambling, but do love to snorkel.
If anyone has any suggestions or tips it would be very appreciated.

If you go to Atlantis in Nassau, you can snorkel in the Atlantis lagoon, but you have to pay the fee to use Aquaventure, and that's pretty steep. Otherwise, I think you can get a much cheaper daypass for the British Colonial Hilton, which is within walking distance to the cruise pier. You might be able to use their beach just by buying food. Or there are other low-key activities in Nassau.

Otherwise, I think your best bet is to snorkel at CocoCay.

Thanks Doug!
I'm not the Sarge from Cruise Crazies.
My wife also has a balance disorder.
Is it worth it to ask for a handicapped cabin? It may be too late, but I thought I'd ask.
We'll be leaving from Baltimore, as it is a doable drive for us. Does anyone have any experience leaving out of Baltimore?
Tips? We'll be cruising on the Grandeur of the Seas. Has anyone cruised on this ship? Things to avoid? Things to do? We will be at sea for 3 days, so I thought I'd ask.
Is the disembark process reasonably smooth? If we did ask for handicapped accommodations, would we be able to disembark sooner?
On our last trip 2 years ago we flew to Grand Cayman - and we sat in wheelchairs for over 2 hours just getting through customs at Miami. Our pain levels were through the roof.
Thanks.

No. Disembarking depends on the time of your flight. You will fill out the paperwork on the ship, they never check, so put in any time you like.

I have cruised out of Baltimore. We flew in and stayed at a hotel downtown before and after and it was a short taxi ride to the port. It was easy to get on the ship, but I can't remember how much walking you have to do in the port. I think you can ask for wheelchair assistance to get on the ship. The nice thing about a cruise is that you can do as much as you want to do or do not want to do. Look at the excursions offered at each port to find activities to fit your comfort level. Enjoy your cruise!

The best advice I ever got about cruise. The first AM, leave the cabin steward a small cash tip ($5-10) with a note saying the cabin looks very nice - and any specific requests. Like extra pillows, that cabin be cleaned early/late each day. This has guaranteed us a little extra service on the several cruises we have taken.
