Croatia yacht trip

Dear All,

Hello from Malaysia.
I am following my family member for a yacht trip in Croatia from 10th May to 17th May. We will start from Dubrovnik.

I am thinking of taking AirFrance from singapore. It's cheap fare if i were to depart on 6th May. Which means to say i can have a few days before i finally meet up with the rest of my family members on 10th.

Just wondering where can i go for that few days? i have not been to europe before and i was thinking is it possible to visit some other countries nearby but the time span is too short?
Also once we come back from yacht trip, the fare will be cheaper if i were to fly back on 20th. So in this case i will have another 3 days to spend there.

Any recommendation?
I am open to stop by at any airport nearby.

Thanks heaps!

Does the yacht trip end in Dubrovnik? Is your flight in and out of Dubovnik? If you want to see another city (country?) I would book the flight open jaw (into one city and home from another).

Where are you flying into (France?)? You could have a few days there first. If not get to Croatia and visit Trogir, Split and maybe across the border to Mostar should give you 3 days of fun

Hi kybourbon and bilboburgler,

Sorry for the late reply.

My yacht trip will start from Dubrovnik and finish in Split.
I will fly on 3rd or 4th may. And yacht trip will start on 10th and ends on 16th.

I would like to either visit Venice (top priority) or maybe just do the road trip in Croatia (eg Zagreb etc)
Should I fly in to Venice direct then to Dubrovnik? Or any other recommendation?

Or shud I both fly in and out from split? Once arrive, from split take a train / bus to Venice?
