need good hair salon in Raleigh

My niece and I are coming from different parts of the country to meet in Raleigh for a wedding. We wanted to do something girly together, and she is interested in getting a different hair color and/or style. She is 21. I need suggestions for a stylist and salon. The trip is in early Feb.
Thanks,
krisz

Perhaps a local will have a recommendation.

If not, I've had success at Aveda salons while on the road.

Well, it is a really simple wedding for an older couple who have both been married before. I don't know the bride well, but I can't see her getting her hair done before the wedding. I appreciate the suggestions.

You could try Glam Lounge: http://www.glamloungeraleigh.com/

Not cheap but good, and downtown Raleigh.
