Staying in montafalco vs spello?
We will be ther 3 or 4 nights in Sept.
People here have recommended Pallazzo Bocci which looks very nice.
Researching I found in Montefalco pallazzo Bondadosi which opened in2009 and is right on town piazza.
Any reason to stay in one town vs the other. Both seem to have good restaurants for the evening as once we are back from sightseeing all day that is all we need. Location for both towns seems to be good for day trips.
Thanks for any help

Spello is bigger so you might have a couple of more restaurant choices, but if you are only staying three nights, that might not matter much. L'Alchimista is on the piazza in Montefalco or it's easy to drive to Trevi or Bevagna from Montefalco for dinner.

In addition to L'Alchimista, there is Coccorone in Montefalco. We could not get seated at L'Achimista as we didn't have reservations. We followed the MANY signs and arrows twisting through town and found Coccorone, (I'm not sure if I'm spelling it right - I'm going from memory, which usually fails me ;o))
We had a very nice lunch, and I would have loved to have dinner there. Montefalco is small, but both those restaurants would easily fill three nights, IMHO.
