Restaurant Needed Near Piazza della Repubblica
We will be in the area near Piazza della Repubblica first seeing Santa Maria della Vittoria and then moving on to the Baths of Diocletian. We are looking for a trattoria for lunch. Any recommendations will be appreciated.

When I'm in Rome, I just follow my nose, so to speak. I read the menus posted outside, and look at the diners to see if they seem cheerful or grumpy. It's not easy to find a bad restaurant in Rome.

Thanks bvlenci - I appreciate your thoughts. We travel to Rome every few years - so we really look forward to our meals. When thinking about our past experiences, I can remember only one bad meal - a restaurant near the Trevi Fountain. We walked away disappointed, but not surprised. Now, we try to do our homework before hand.

We ate at these places in 2012.

This restaurant is actually in one of the ancient pavilions of the Baths of Diocletian and is open Mon-Sat 12:30-3:00 for lunch.
Their website is in the post and a few links (photo & Baths' model)still work.
