All Inclusive Resorts for Late 40's early 50's
My husband and I are planning a vacation for July of 2015 for our 5 year anniversary. We never went on a honeymoon so we decided to take one for our 5th.
We were thinking that an all inclusive resort would be nice because that way so much of our vacation will be covered. It may be our anniversary/honeymoon, but we're still on a budget : )
I was looking at The Bahamas, Jamaica, or Punta Cana but are open to suggestions!! Neither of us have had the opportunity to travel much so we need a little guidance. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

All inclusives come in all price ranges. It would help if you told us what your budget actually is, since you indicated budget is an important factor for you.
Also, if your budget includes airfare, you have to tell us where you are flying from as airfare could have a significant impact on the amount you have left for your accommodations.

The majority of AI's are in Mexico, Jamaica and the DR. What are you wanting to do on your vacation? Walking off a resort in Jamaica and the DR is not that advisable, though some people do. I'm not one of them. We went with the resort's tours and/or hired a driver. Mexico, this is not issue. We've been to Mexico x 12, Jamaica x 2 and DR x 1. We are going back to Mexico this year. We found the Bahamas quite boring and the AI's hotels not abundant. We stayed at the Sandals Royal Bahamian in Nassau and it was OK. A lot of money though so if you are on a budget, I wouldn't recommend. I wouldn't recommend any of the AI's on Paradise Island either.
Since you are wanting to go in July, you would probably want to look at Adult or Couple only AI resorts unless you don't mind being inundated with kids with the family AI resorts. Our anniversary is in July also and I so regret it. If I knew then what I know now, we would have picked a different month. In July it's going to be very HOT and HUMID. We tend to celebrate our anniversary in either May or the first/second week of Nov/December when it's less expensive and less crowded to travel.
It would be helpful to provide a budget and the important and not important things you are wanting to see/do.
