Day trips from St. Anton
We will be in St. Anton, Austria for 4 days while our son skis. In researching possible day trips I've come up with the following (beyond the really close places of St. Christoph, St. Jakober, Lech and Zurs):
Hall in Tyrol with nearby Wattens and the Swarovski factory
Landeck
Hohenems
Feldkirch
All are within at most an hour and a half from St. Anton by train, some as little as 22 minutes. Most appear to have charming streets and buildings, a nice church or two and decent lunch possibilities, Anyone have firsthand experience traveling to or staying in any of them? I'd appreciate hearing recommendations or cautions and especially getting information on specific things to see or places to stop. Thanks for your help.

For me, Innsbruck is the most interesting destination in the greater area.
Rattenberg has some character too.
Hohenems can be visited together with Feldkirch and may be other places in the Rhine Valley (the castle of Werdenberg and the Tamina Gorge are unfortunately closed).
If you are interested in thermal spas, you may check Bad Ragaz.

Thanks neckervd, Rattenberg has not crossed my radar before so I'm off to find some pictures of it. Thermal spas are pretty wasted on me. Visiting Hohenems and Feldkirch together holds some appeal. We've been to Innsbruck on previous trips but it has the appeal of being very easy to do and with a fair amount of things to see in a snall area. Thanks.

Landeck is nothing special. The castle is closed in winter.
Between Landeck and Innsbruck is the magnificent Baroque monastery Stams - well worth seeing.
Feldkirch and Bregenz would be my choices, too.

Thanks Ingo. This is the first I've seen Stams mentioned. I'll check it out.
We will be staying in 3 places--St. Anton, Kitzbuhel and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. I'm starting to get confused about which might be closer to which small towns and with intervening mountains the train distances aren't always what things look like on a map. I'ts possible that Stams could be closer by train to Garmisch than to St. Anton. More research ahead.

Stams may be closer to Garmisch in kms/Miles, but it's much easier to reach from St. Anton am Arlberg.
From Garmisch, I would rather visit places like Wieskirche, Linderhof castle, Ettal, Oberammergau...
I suppose you know Munich already.
