Yes there is, a choice of the train or a bus. My DD and SIL have taken the train no problems at all. There is an Air Train from Newark, that takes you where you can join up with the NJ train that goes into Manhattan. Look up the Newark airport website to more details.

The NJ train takes you to Penn Station in Manhattan.

After you pick up your bags, follow the signs to the airtrain/monorail. it will take you out to the station where you'll catch the NJ transit to Penn Station in New York. Do NOT get off at the first stop, as it is Penn Station, New Jersey.

Last week I paid $12.50 for the ride from Penn station (NYC) to Newark. Can't remember if the price is the same for the opposite ride.

There is also a bus that goes to Penn Station, Grand Central Station, and Port Authority Bus Terminal.

I got the bus that is just outside the arrivals terminal to Penn Street Station which is midtown area. Very inexpensive. I bought the ticket on the bus from the driver.

Keep in mind that your arrival time at EWR should strongly influence your decision. Buses are vulnerable to considerable traffic delays during the morning and evening rush hours. Trains may be crowded during those periods, but they are not likely to suffer delays.

Which bus you should take depends on the location of your hotel - can you share?

Advertising is NOT allowed. Stop leaving these ridiculous posts. Do you really think anyone is naive enough to believe this web site is legitimate.

And frankly = that's not that much money anyway.
