The train is fine (do you mean safe, clean, reliable, cheap, other?).

I think by the title you can figure out this is not a trip report.

I like to use www.bahn.de to see train schedules. There is an English version of it. It is very useful for planning.

Right, train schedules here:

http://www.bahn.de/i/view/GBR/en/index.shtml

Loads of info on European trains, including photos and info on buying tickets here:

http://www.seat61.com/index.html

Which says for Prague to Vienna:
"Regular air-conditioned EuroCity trains link Prague Hlavni with Vienna, taking just 4½ hours city centre to city centre. You can buy tickets from just €19 at www.cd.cz/eshop (for English, click en top right) and print your own ticket."

You might want to reconsider your itinerary, as there are night trains from Vienna to Rome, and from Rome to Paris, but not from Vienna to Paris (you have to change at Munich.)

Prague/Vienna by train is easy and only a few hours. Paris to Rome is long - you might want to consider flying.

Not sure of time Vienna to Paris - check bahn.de for all the options.

Hi,

The train leaving from Prague is nice and comfortable. If you need to book tickets you may do so last minute at the station, or book them online but it's only in Czech (http://www.cd.cz/default.htm).

You may find websites selling tickets, but you often end up paying more.

Have a nice trip!

Nick
