Hotels near Chamartin Train Station, Madrid?
I will be arriving in Madrid in November via a train that stops at Chamartin train station. Can anyone recommend reasonably priced hotels (no more than 3 stars) in that area?

All I can recommend is to check booking.com to see if there is something you like and that fit's your budget. There is only one 3-star located close to the station, TRYP Madrid Chamartin, but there are other 3-stars nearby within a short walk or taxi ride.

Once you are at Chamartin, you can take a Cercania train to a lot of places (Puerta do Sol is only 15 minutes away). I was last year at the Husa Chamartin hotel, that is in the very building of the station so it cannot be beaten for convenience, but it is very old and not very well kept, so I do not recommend it.

Thanks to you both for that advice. I think I'll probably just take the train or metro to Puerta del Sol, as I know of an inexpensive hotel near there, where I stayed when I was in Madrid last fall. Good recommendation, asps.
