Anyone used Inside Japan tours?

After doing extensive research online and asking friends about tours of Japan, Inside Japan's Japan Enchantment offered the variety, small group size of 8 - 14, and trip length I had hoped for, including urban and rural areas.

Has anyone been on tours with this British co.? I contacted their US office, and they responded quickly, sending me their comprehensive brochure and itinerary for the Japan enchantment tour.

I would love to hear about this or any other small group tour of Japan that is approximately 14 days.

Thank you,
Kailuagal

Do you specifically want a group tour?

This company has been mentioned a number of times on the Japan Forum of Tripadvisor....you can search there.

I have always traveled on my own....so no personal experience.

Like Mara I traveled in Japan on my own, and had no trouble doing so (aside from the Tokyo metro!)

Ditto. Are you fully committed to joining a tour?

That looks like a nice tour. I think I would choose the tour in May for blooms and greenery in Kenrokuen in Kanazawa and Hamarikyu in Tokyo. Also May for the Miyako Odori in Kyoto.

I would do it without a tour and at much less cost, but I like the tour itinerary.

Thank you for asking. My husband and I were adamant independent travelers. As we are now 66, we find it easier to combine a small tour with some independent travel. Yup, we are fans of Smithsonian tours and the pampering stress free tours, with great companions. Nope, never thought I would say this.

I would love any feedback on the tour.

I'm 66 and still traveling solo and independently, but if you want a tour that looks like a pretty good itinerary. However, it does seem rather expensive given that it is using public transport.
