IDEAS NEEDED FOR A CHEAP GETAWAY OUT OF COUNTRY AS A NEW SOLO TRAVELER
So I am a working femaie with a regular 9 to 6 job who wants to spend her weekends and minimal vacation time traveling to different parts of the country...but on a budget of course. Can anyone suggest a few places I can go that is cheap, fun and safe as I start on this solo traveling journey

I am open to suggestions for any country
So far I have been looking into Antigua Guatemala. Seems inexpensive, relaxing and full of culture so far. But I need more options to pick from
Where have you been in the past that was inexpensive but a joy.

Your country? It would help to know where Your country is, although I presume it's the U.S.

I'd like to know what 'inexpensive' means as well. Someone might consider $500 a day (including all costs for travel, etc.)inexpensive while someone else might consider that expensive.
No one has a crystal ball or is a mind reader as thursdaysd suggests Aderonke. The more relevant info you provide the more relevant responses are likely to be.
Give a budget number (all costs included) for a given period of time (a week, a month, a weekend).
You also need to provide info on your interests. 'Fun' is another word that is meaningless unless you tell us what YOU consider fun. One person might want cities and museums while another wants beaches and partying.

The places I mentioned are nothing like Cancun. Mexico can still be fairly inexpensive depending where you go, where you stay, what you choose to do. But I'm talking ~$30/night for hotel rooms. It is not as cheap as SE Asia can be.
I also am confused because you mention "weekends" which is not long enough really to go anywhere out of the US, unless you happen to live close to Mexico or Canada's border.

As a first time solo traveler, i would think everyone had a crystal ball purchased from all the lovely places they've visited
i live in the united states of america
I would like to go anywhere in the world for a week and alone
my budget is 1000 dollars for everythingggggg.
and as far as the weekends, if anyone of you live in the united states of america, if there are any states you can suggest for a quick weekend visit. some times i like to add a personal day to my weekends where they then become 3 day long weekends.

We need to know where you live, to figure the cost of the plane ticket portion of your trip.
I could go solo to Mexico for $1000 for 7 days from Seattle for example:
$500 plane ticket to Puerto Vallarta
$245 hotel room (7 x $35/night)
$255 food, spending, local transportation ($36/day)
Or if you are willing to stay in nice hostel you can get a bed for as little as $16/night (in a 6-bed female shared dorm) which would allow your daily spending budget to increase substantially.

NYC? I have good news.
Depending on the time of the year, you can fly to Istanbul for $613.
Kayak has some good vacation options. http://www.kayak.com/vacations#/NYC-...3-11-22/1adult

That's probably not going to happen for $1000 for a week all included.
Also realize the biggest single expense (especially for such a short trip) is likely your plane ticket, so the further you try to so (South America for example) the more money you will use up on the ticket, the less you'll have for the rest of your trip.
I personally would never take a 9-12 hour plane ride unless I had 2-3 weeks for the trip.
Negril Jamaica is easy to get to from bask East. And there are cheap places to stay there off the beach. It's tropical. You fly into Montego Bay then shuttle out 90 mins. to Negril.
