How many castles have you been to?
One of the features on the Fodor's landing page is about famous/wonderful/unique castles all over europe.
I've done 13 of them - among a lot of other castles across europe. How about you?
Some are very famous and most/many people will have been to them ( Versailles, Neuschwanstein) but some are quite remote/obscure.

What a list!
Mont St Michel is an abbey, not a castle; whatever about the gardens, the chateau at Villandry is nothing out of the ordinary; I find it difficult to see Blarney castle as "awe-inspiring".
There also seems to be a difficulty in distinguishing between a palace and a castle.
