Delta 767-400 New Business Class Seats ~ bulkhead or not?

My wife and I are flying to Heathrow this summer (and on to Croatia). The Heathrow 767s have the new business class seats. Currently, my wife and I have 2B&C (both ways). I have looked at the "best seat" sites on the internet and the question is not addressed (they only comment on how busy this area is). Here it is:

The center bulkhead seats are still available. As I understand it, the space where your legs (when fully reclined) are is tight and the bulkhead seats may have more space. Is that true and, if so, is the additional space significant? Again, it is not addresssed on the popular best seats sites.

Thanks!

For a couple traveling together, the middle bulkheads are the best seats on the plane.

The reason is that the footwell is MUCH bigger for the bulkhead seats. For the non-bulkhead seats anyone with a shoe much bigger than a mens' 8 or so will have a pretty tight squeeze in the footwell. This problem is eliminated with the bulkheads where the footwell is at least twice as large, if not larger.

On Seatguru.com they have Delta's 767-400 series listed.

Business Class is

BusinessElite Class 44.0 seat pitch 21.5 width 40 lie-flat seats.

I have travelled in many business seats on various airlines and would not say the bulkhead seat is always the best by far. I not travelled on Delta though.

Personally I would pick rows 4 or 5 but the bulkhead on this type of plane wouldn't be a problem for you and your wife. Be aware that the lavatories are now at the back of the BE cabin.

It isn't always. But it certainly is in business class on this particular plane. The exception would be if you are short and/or have small feet.

I flew on a DL 767-400 earlier this week to Narita in a bulkhead window seat. Very comfortable seating and very comfortable lie-flat bed. Didn't notice any increase in traffic, being in the bulkhead row, nor did it seem more busy.

Also didn't notice any considerable size differences between the foot space in bulkhead versus seats behind. Seating is staggered or offset so I didn't have another passenger directly across from me. However, looking across the aisle at my neighbor, it appeared he had as much space as I did.

I like to sleep on my side and the positioning of the seats allowed extra space for my knees.

We returned from Croatia/London trip couple weeks ago. We did travel in the business class bulkhead center seats AND YES, the leg room is indeed wider. I would guess about 6-8 inches. Thanks for input.
