limousine or fixed price taxi from Amsterdam center to Schipol
Does anyone know a reputable company that charge a reasonable price?
Our apartment is not too far from Central Station..we could actually walk..However our flight is at 10AM and if the weather is nasty walking to the station is not feasible.
Thanks,
AnnaMaria

I am confused too... The question mentions not being able to walk to the station if raining.
No matter where you want to go, if you need a taxi the hotel should handle be able to economically handle it.

They are in an apartment, close to
Centraal, but far enough to make a walk unpleasant in bad weather. It's all there in the post.
As I said there is a link on the Schiphol site. I assume they are safe and reliable, if not cheap, but then no safe reliable taxi is cheap in Amsterdam.

I was thinking the same TC but I need to be at Schipol by 7AM because my flight to Houston leaves at 10AM..
I may have a hard time finding a reliable taxi that will comes around 6AM especially when the fare would be low because of the short distance to Central station.
hesmiJ2, you understood exactly what I was saying..

We have paid 50 euros (+-) for taxis to/from AMS airport into the city, about 2 blocks from Central Station. The taxi was a very nice car!! The driver wore a suit. Not what I'm used to in places like Chicago and Bangkok!!
That said, we have also walked to the CS and taken the train to the airport, but only when shuttling limited luggage.

Usually when I go to Rome or Paris I always take a taxi or limousine service and the fare is always 50 or 55+ Euro..
Thanks everyone I will think about..
Probably I will take the train on arrival because the flight from Prague is only one hour and taxi or Limo departing for my 11 hours plus flight.

That sounds like a good idea. You can get an idea of the cost of a Schiphol taxi by following that link btw, or do a search for others that offer a similar service - they will normally give a free quote. Might help you decide what to do.
Enjoy Amsterdam again.
