SF- lunch- between the museums

Going to the DeYoung, and then the Legion of Honor. Will need to have lunch in between to make sure we have enough energy. Suggestions?

When I've done both museums in one day, I've eaten in the museum cafes to make life easier. Either location is not bad for a quick, but relaxed lunch.

The museum cafe at the DeYoung is pretty good; when it gets busy, the quality goes down. I enjoy the burger there. You can also head to Clement Street for a plethora of great eats.

My choice: B Star. (Its more-popular older sister down the road, Burma Superstar, is not nearly as good, imho). Don't miss the brussels sprouts, yellow bean tofu, rainbow salad and shrimp jook. A beautiful, flavor-packed lunch!

we usually do eat at the DeYoung cafe, and it's adequate, but since we were going to the other, figured on trying something on the way. Clement St rings a bell from many many years ago, so good idea. Hopefully B Star is full-flavored vs spicy!

Is there a really good sandwich/panini place on Clement?

There are many interesting places on Clement St (the 'other' Chinatown). B Star and Burma Superstar are both lots of fun. There is also a very good Vietnameese sandwich place, Cafe Bunn Mi.

Clement street restaurants kind of peter out around 20th-21st avenue.

Geary (a block over)also has quite a few restaurants.

The Legion entrance at the golf course is around 34th. Afterwards, make sure you follow the road around to the 17th fairway. Wonderful view of the GG Bridge and all the way to downtown.

If you continue onward, you will be in Sea Cliff, a group of very nice homes. Robin Williams’ home is located at 540 El Camino Del Mar,
