Help finding a 2 bedroom apt. in Paris

My husband and myself, along with another couple are trying to find a 2 bedroom apartment in Paris for 4 nights mid October. We thought it would be nice to have a place for breakfast, snack, etc. and where we could all visit together (especially, since we may go in different directions each day). 2 bathrooms would be preferable, but not a total necessity. Hoping to keep the cost no higher than $400/night (200 each).

I have inquired about a great many that appear to be available, but either get no answer or a not available.

Any and all help will be appreciated!
Thanks,
Jean

You might try Adrien Leeds' Parler Paris group, as well...

where are you looking, pumpkin?

there are many threads here dealing with apartment agencies in Paris. they range from top of the range like ParisPerfect, to owner-based agencies like http://www.homeaway.co.uk/

I'd be surprised if there were a problem finding a 4 night let in October.

pumpkin, I know that I didn't have your exact dates but I've found quite a few 2 bed, 2 b'room apartments in what look like nice locations for 4 nights in October through the homeaway.com website.

good luck!

Found a lot in VBRO... We had a 3 bedroom in the 5th for our stay ... it would not have been great for 2 couples but I am sure you will find one...

We've used www.homelidays.com, www.tripadvisor.com, and www.homeaway.com with great results. Bonne chance!

We stayed here in March and found it very comfortable in a great area. I am not sure if she will take a booking for 4 nights. http://www.vrbo.com/92761

I have booked 4 nights through A La Carte Paris but that was a one bedroom which is no longer to let. Try them- they were very easy to work with. http://www.alacarte-paris-apartments.com/

The VIP site has a new function to search for apartments. A quick search there found 9 apartments that meet your room and budget parameters. I'd take a look there, and if you see one put in an availability request for the one you like. If it's not available, they will let you know by e-mail and give you others that are available for your dates.

Good luck and enjoy Paris!

Pumpkin - here you go: http://www.vacationinparis.com/infop/two_br.htm

Each apartment has a different policy regarding minimum stay lengths - You'll need to check them one at a time. The vast majority should be OK with a 4-night stay.

thank you! Grandmere, that apartment looked great, particularly with the reviews, but alas, she requires a 5 night minimum.
I have just checked homeaway and have inquired about several.
will check out more later. I am going crazy with the lengthy time at my computer.
Thanks to everyone...it is much appreciated

pumpkin,

here's a radical thought - if it's the right apartment at the right price, them why not pay for the 5th night? if you are arriving early or leaving late, extend your stay by that day. we did that in Venice as we had a late departure and it was money well spent.

Pumpkin, have you emailed the owner of #90955? Maybe Ferida would make an exception? I notice that she is only booked for a few days at the beginning of Oct.; maybe she'd rather have 4 days confirmed than possibility of none since "high season" is winding down by then. Worth a try, IMO!

A family group of 5 of us stayed there in 2011, and I thought it was a good place in a great location, and "roomy" by Paris standards and for the price.

We are currently staying in vacations in Paris apt 164. It is 2 br 2 ba and very well located on the right bank of the Seine by the pobt neuf bridge. It is little over your budget but they will do rentals for less than 7 nights for a slight premium. It was a bit over our budget but we decided the location was worth it for our first time in Paris and have been pleased. Not lux but comfortable enough for our family of 4. While it will sleep 6 with 2 on a pull out sofa, the small living space would not suit that many unless 4 were children, imo. 2 couples would be fine and the company had been good to deal with thus far.

Good luck with your search.
