Photos now up on my photography website - Spain, Tangier, Gibraltar

I have added photos from Spain, Morocco, and Gibraltar to my website. We took our kids to Europe for the first time in March, choosing to visit Andalucia. At the time, we were contemplating splitting the trip between Spain and Morocco, as we had 16 days. In the end, I think we made the right choice. We concentrated on Cordoba, Granada, Sevilla, and Ronda, but we also spent a couple of nights each in Madrid and Tarifa, a night in Arcos de la Frontera, half a day in Jerez de la Frontera (where we dropped off our car), a rushed but interesting day in Tangier, and a few hours in Gibraltar. Originally I had planned to be in Morocco during Semana Santa, but we now consider seeing these celebrations a hightlight of our trip. We were lucky to see processions in several of the cities. I was so glad I booked two sets of tickets for Alhambra, giving us a full day there. It absolutely poured for several hours that day and having two sessions saved us! Maybe some day I will get around to a full trip report - I used to love writing those when I had more time, but for now, I hope you will enjoy the photos on my site at www.danwoodlief.com/travel.

Hi Dan, would love to hear more about your trip. DH and I are taking our kids (5, 7, 10) to Spain and Portugal for 2 weeks (July). We are flying into Barcelona, but then hope to get to Granada, Tarifa (day trip to Tangiers), Arcos de la Frontera, Sevilla, and Lisbon. I don't know if we should get rail pass? Car? I've heard many places have buses...any advice? Recommendations on accommodations?

While the quality of the photos are fine, there is little new here and some have been taken tens of thousands before. I never comment on photos that are taken just one's memories, but if it is a commercial venture, then I think it is fair.

Sorry I didn't see your post earlier Kfunasaki. I am rarely on Fodors these days but used to be on all the time years ago. I will try to put together a few tips for you this weekend. You seem to have a very ambitious but rewarding trip in store for your kids. BigAl, I have never made a cent off of my photography, but I have had a photo used by on an annual report cover by the Civil War Preservation Trust. I do what I do for the love of photography and travel. It gives me a deeper appreciation for light, the people I see and meet, and so many more things that enrich my life. I enjoy sharing it with others. Most of my travel photography is on family trips, so I do the best I can with the time I have. Thanks for taking a look at my site.

Dan, when I saw ads at the bottom of your site to put photographs on drinking mugs and all manner of photo paraphernalia including refrigerator magnets and playing cards, I assumed it was a commercial site.
