going to cinque terre , where is better to park in levanto or la spezia

I am travelling by car, and staying in Florence , I want to visit cinqueterre , my plan is to go by car from Florence till either Levanto or La Spezia , because there are very few spots to park , would like to know which would be better for parking space , so I can take the train and visit cinque terre . I am going to be there by Early August , around 9 to 14 , also when would be better either mid week or end of the week .
Thanls and best regards

6 of one and half dozen of the other. You might try googling "parking in LaSp/Levanto to get a feel of the avaiability and cost. My choice, if possible, would be Levanto..Smaller town and if you are sraying over night try Garden Hotel..I know they have parking nearby..

You're using Florence as a base and making daytrips by car? I wouldn't recommend this. If you stay in the center, parking is expensive, and you must take great care to avoid the ZTLs (locals-only parking zones). If you stay on the outside, it's inconvenient for visiting the historic center.

Florence is a good base for daytrips by bus (Siena) or train (Pisa, Lucca, Cinque Terre, Chianti). No need to have a car at all.

Be sure you review the ZTL zones for Florence or you could find you get several expensive tickets in the mail several months after the fact!

Thanks , I was told that the hotel is outside the ZTL area , so I can go through the city by other means , I will be using it only to go to cinque terre and visiting wineries .
Thanks again

La Spezia is closer to Florence. You might be able to park on the street not far from the train station to the Cinque Terre but as I took the train from Florence 4 years ago, don't quite remember. You might be able to find info on La Spezia city website or the Cinque Terre website (it's a national park I believe).
