Need recs for tours and restaurants in Athens, Mykonos and Santorini

I posted this yesterday but forgot to tag it as "Greece" so am posting again. My husband and I are looking forward to our upcoming (end of May) trip to Greece and are looking for recommendations for tours and restaurants off the beaten path. We are in our late 30s, from the NYC area and are traveling without children. We also consider (or at least would like to believe, ha) ourselves active so lots of walking is welcome. Thanks!

Let me quote what I wrote in another post:

"There are so many things to do in Athens, it's difficult to know where to begin. There are all the usual sights, e.g. Parthenon, museums etc. One thing I am fond of is the walk up Apostolou Pavlou to Philopappou Hill in the evening. I enjoy sitting at a sidewalk cafe watching the sun set on the Acropolis. Nearby is a restaurant/bar called "Stavlos" owned by friends of mine. It's a historic building with a courtyard in the middle, and has a good menu.

If you want to do something slightly different take the food tour offered by http://www.athens-walks.com. There is a good review of the company in http://www.breakthroughgreece.gr/?p=1469, but what they don't say is that Kostas, the owner, is a former Evzone (palace guard)."

If you want tours outside of Athens, check the companies:

Tavern To Steki Tou Poedpou in Ano Mera (a picturesque village at the center of Mykonos) was recommended to us by the owner of our hotel. They served tasteful food with reasonable prices and the waiters were very kind and friendly.

I second the recommendations for Athens-Walks, Kostas will tailor it to suit you if none of the set ones fit your preferences. You do need to contact asap as I know he is well booked up on some dates already. Feel free to say I told you to email/contact & I'm sure he'll do his best to fit you in!
Heimdall, I went to O Stavlos a few weeks ago, it appears they may have changed ownership, but not certain whether the food, music etc has remained the same. It's still a very interesting building though, with a fascinating history It was once King Otto's stables (hence the name), it's been a prison & a school in it's time too.
Where are you staying in Athens? There are many good places to eat, I always like 'Taverna To Psirri', also one I am desperately trying to remember the name of in Romvi street , neither of these have non Greeks in vey often! There are many others out of the centre too, depends where you are starting from & how far you want to go. Some great places in & around Pangrati, also Rififi in Exarchia, although many tourists don't go to that area.
For a meal with a view (& a bit more expensive) I like Greek House Attikos, but do book if you want to dine here.

On Santorini try one of the fish tavernas on the wharf below Oia in Amoudi Bay. Fish sold by weight so be sure you know the price before saying yes.

On Sntorini definately try the Wine tour! One of the most insightfull and interesting tours i ever had. in case you go for it ask for Vaios, he was our guide and a true expert on wine. i booked it through the web, www.santoriniwinetour.com it was pretty easy.
