Hola, trip itinerary-appreciate any tips!!

end of May: fly to Madrid, take bus/ train to Toledo for 2 days, Madrid to Segovia by train for 2 days, bus/train to San Sebastian for 2 days, S.Sebastian to Leon by bus/train for 2-3 days, bus/train to Ourense 1 day, then to Santiago for 1 day, then back to Madrid by train. Will be gone 13 days. Also having trouble on Alsa bus scheduling on computer. So...any assistance appreciated with tips, or if I need to reschedule order of towns, thanks

Looking at your itinerary, it seems that you haven't allowed any time for Madrid itself. Is this on purpose because you've been before?

Only one dray for Santiago will translate to a half day by the time you arrive from Ourense. You're tackling alot of geography and moving around in a short time using public transportation. It will be alot of time in transit and in bus/train stations. I'd consider cutting out Galicia and adding the time in San Sebastian. 4 nights in San Sebastian would be good after so many 2-nighters. You may want to focus on Madrid, Leon and San Sebastian. Use Madrid as a base and do Daytrips to Toledo and Segovia.

If you're in Madrid in late May, you might catch Rocío Molina dancing in Teatro Abadía May 30, 31 and June 1. She's making flamenco history at the age of 28.

"one of the finest soloists in the world today", New York Times 2009

"Molina has genius: irresistible, all-consuming, all-powerful", Financial Times 2011

"as if she were sharing the stage with the ghosts of all the dancers whose art she has absorbed – and reinvented", The Telegraph 2013

Cut Segovia to one day. Possibly do it as a day trip from Madrid. Toledo is lovely at night, but still needs only one day & one night.

Hola joyfultraveler.

Agree with Sassarass that one day in Segovia is plenty. You might stay in Segovia and do a day trip to Avila, which is not far and very different. We did Avila and Segovia on two separate day-trips by car from Madrid and it would probably have been better, easier and less expensive to stay in Segovia or Avila or someplace else in the vicinity.

I do think you can easily fill up two days in Toledo.

CathyM is right about cutting out Galicia on this trip.

!Buen viaje!
