One Week in Croatia (Solo Traveller)
Hello,
I will be flying into Split in July and out of Dubruvnik 1 week later. I have no clue what to do in between, or where to stay and I really need some guidance here!
I am a 30 y/o Male, looking to relax, enjoy nightlife, sit on the beach and maybe some other activities (not sure what it is)
can someon please suggest an itinerary?
Thx

How are getting from Split to Dubrovnik - will you have a car? Will you be relying on bus and boat to get around?
Do you want to stay in one or two places, or move almost every day?
I might suggest a visit to Mostar but it will be peak tourist season and very hot and crowded. Perhaps you'd prefer to do some island hopping en route to Dubrovnik? But a week isn't long to fit in more than one or possibly two islands. And which ones? Hvar, Korcula? Lokrum or perhaps the Elaphiti Islands as a day trip from Dubrovnik?
You need to get a guide to the Dalmatian Coast and have a look at what YOU think you might like to see and do, then come back here with more specific questions and you'll get a lot more help.

I did a week solo in Croatia a few years ago - my itinerary was...
Fly into Split and pick up a rental car. Stay overnight in Trogir.
Day 2 - drive to Mostar. Overnight there.
Day 3 - morning in Mostar, drive to Dubrovnik.
Day 4 - Dubrovnik, walk the Walls, several hours on a trip to Lokrum, see some of Dubrovnik's sights.
Day 5 - Day trip by tour bus to Montenegro (Kotor, Cetinje, Budva). Think it was Atlas Tours.
Day 6 - Drive along the Peljesac Peninsula to Orebic. Foot ferry to Korcula town for lunch. from Orebic I drove across the peninsula to Trpanj and got the car ferry to Ploce on the mainland. I drove north spending the night in Brela.
Day 7 - Drive to Split, spend time seeing Diocletian's Palace, then after lunch driving back to Spilt Airport.
So, you could do something similar but see Split at the beginning of your trip. Just a few ideas to get you started, but this is your trip so you need to plan accordingly so you don't waste time
Sights I was interested in seeing were churches, museums, old palaces. Eating wonderful fresh fish - oh, the calamari! Drinking good local wine (in the evenings of course, Croatia has a zero tolerance to drink driving.) No beaches or night clubs for me!
I stayed in sobe (private rooms) except for the night in Mostar when I stayed at the Motel Krive Cuprija.
I posted a trip report which may be of some use to you, click on my name to find it. I've returned to Mostar twice since then, and wrote about them in my Sarajevo trip reports. -

In addition to Julia's excellent suggestions (hi, Julia!), let me add Plitvice Lakes National Park. It's a few hours from Split by bus or car, so it might eat up a significant amount of your time - you probably would want to overnight there, maybe arrive late in the day, spend the night, see the park early the next morning before the crowds come, and head back toward Split - but it's really an amazing place, with big lakes and waterfalls. Google for some pictures of it, just in case this is something you'd be interested in.

Thanks all!
So many options - originally I was thinking spending 3 days/2 nights in Split, then 2 days in Hvar.... not too exciting I know - I'm not too familiar with these different Islands - I'll have to buy a book and do more research first I guess

Unless you have a list of a lot of things you want to see/do in Split, I'd say 2 nights is too much. I didn't make it to Hvar, I wound up on the island of Korcula instead (for many, it's an either/or proposition not both). Korcula was nice, but some prefer Hvar, I wouldn't have minded going to Hvar instead. Hvar has more of a reputation as a "party" place than Korcula, and I wasn't interested in that.
It is easy to get from Split to Hvar and/or Korcula via high speed catamaran, daily, probably with several options in the summer.
