Lightning has struck our Navy reunion group again

The USS Trathen DD 530 Association held its September 2011 reunion in Washington DC and had the White House tour and visit to the Navy Museum at he Washington Navy Yard Cancelled. Today I received notice from the USAF Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB that our September tour is cancelled due to sequestration.

I'm looking for suggestions for points of interest to visit or things to do for one day in Cincinnati. Age wise, the attendees are from WWII through Viet Nam and with guests will total forty to fifty people. About a bus load.

All suggestions will be considered and appreciated.

What a shame, ronkala. Sorry for the continued problems. Good luck finding what you are looking for near Cincinnati.

Definitely a shame that this happened again. My only thought would be to see if the Reds were home. Maybe they will allow you to have a banquet during a game from a luxury box. Worth checking. They may even do it in conjunction with a tour if they are on the road as well.

We really loved the Underground Railroad museum in Cincinnati. Maybe with a large group of people they can put together a special tour.

I also highly recommend highly The Freedom Center in downtown Cincinnati; it's so well, done and informative.. It's overlooking the Ohio River, very near the Great American Ball Park where the Reds play.

I'm so sorry, ronkala. I wish I had some suggestions for you. I just heard today that the annual Oceana NAB air show has been cancelled because of budget cuts.

I'm reading them and thank you for the input. Dukey, both photos and P&G were interesting.

We will be having a banquet Saturday night at the hotel. Looking back, I think the best was the luau at the Holiday Inn Bayside in San Diego.

Does anyone have any feedback about the Ohio River Cruise out of Newport, KY?
