Me and my wife are visiting paris. We are interested in River Siene boat cruise.

1. From where it starts and where it ends.
2. What are the timing for the boat rides
3. We would be staying near Etienne Marcel Metro station. How do we go for the boat ride and which is nearest point.
4. We also want to visit Notre Dame cathdral and Eiffle tower. Can we choose one of these destinations to start the boat ride.

I agree with jamikins. The boats only originate and return to one point. There are other companies if you prefer such as bateaux-mouches. You can look up these companies on the internet and they will tell you where they are located.

Guide books have all this information as well.

If you choose Vedettes du Pont Neuf, as suggested by jamikins, it leaves from very near Notre Dame and you have great views of Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre while on the cruise. The boat ride lasts about 1 hour and returns to the same place it starts from.

First, you have to decide which boat you're taking -- dinner, just a cruise, etc.? Many depart from and return to the ET.

There are boats leaving from near both Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower. They leave and return to the same point.

In reading your post it also seems like you need to learn how to get around Paris by public transport as well as orient yourself to the city.

Buy a good detailed map of Paris of around the scale 1:12,000 and it will show all streets and street names, museums, monuments, gardens, parks, sites, attractions and the location of all RER and métro stops.

You can figure out walking times and distances between sites by using a mapping website like www.mappy.com or a similar website.

I took this company which is right at Notre Dame, practically (at least on the quai on the Left Bank in front of it). I liked it a lot. Vedettes du Pont Neuf is not the only company with boats near Notre Dame, in fact, I think Bateaux Parisiens is a bit more convenient.
