Lunch in Chatanooga

Have an hour or so for lunch in Chatanooga in early April and would like to go somewhere kind of pretty or historic or unique to Chatnooga in some way. I looked at the restaurants at the Chatanooga Choo Choo but wasn't inspired. Any suggestions? No need for fancy-- just looking for a really authentic experience.

Also, any suggestions for a very quick driving tour in the city? We will be on our way to somewhere else so we won't have a lot time, but would like to make the most of it.

Thanks!

I would go up!

Either to the Bluff View Arts District -

Or to Lookout Mountain -

Restaurant suggestion - http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restauran...Tennessee.html

On the way out of town (especially if you are coming from Lookout Mountain) drive via the Chickamauga Battlefield. It's a little stretch of countryside via good roads and will hook back up to I75.

If you want pretty, there's Tony's Italian restaurant (and Rembrandt's next door) in the Bluff View district that starrs pointed out. Near the river and both have patios - great if the weather's nice. Very close to the Walnut Street pedestrian bridge as well, and the rest of downtown.

Thanks so much, Starrs and jent, This really helps a lot. Wish we had more time to explore Chatanooga, so at least if we have good tips we can make the most of it.

The Terminal Brewhouse located right next to the Choo Choo. Great place.
