Name mistake in NS Hispeed train e-ticket

Hi,

I've just booked a train ticket on-line for two people from Amsterdam to Gent. There has been a mistake and both persons have the same surnames. The first one is alright, and it's the same name as the credit card holder. However, the second person's surnames are not correct. I want to change that information. What shall I do?

I've checked on the official site to see how to contact them, but I've just seen the international tlfn number, which is +31 302 331 676. How much does it cost?
If I call, I'm concerned about being shuttled from office to office, while I continue being charged a substantial amount of money.

Any advice?

Many thanks!

It might be helpful if we knew where you will be calling from.

According to the FAQ you cannot change a home-print ticket.

Phoning them will have little point if that is the case.

If the terms of your ticket allow it then you can cancel the one in the wrong name for a full restitution and buy a new one in the correct name.

If you want to phone them the cheapest way may be to use Skype and Skype credit otherwise you need to check with your telephone provider how much they charge for inter-European calls, as every company has different rates.

I have finally called to Amsterdam, it wasn't so expensive!
And as the second person wasn't the credict card holder they just changed the surnames.
Now the problem is that the last letter of the surname is different!

Will that be a problem? Maybe they don't even realize, but you never know...

The chances are they won't check it that closely. When I've been to Cologne with a home print ticket they never even looked at my passport, just checked the ticket and that I was in the assigned seat.
I wouldn't worry about it, it is close enough to be clear to all but the stupidest jobsworth.
