Finding a Hotel with a Family Room in Prague & Budapest

Hi, a family of four (2 adults + 2 teens) will be traveling to Prague and Budapest in August. I am looking for a hotels in each location that have a Family Room. Hotel should have A/C, not break the bank ($200-$300/night). I am an architect and would like the hotel and have some ambiance (i.e. either historic or modern, but taking a position). Would prefer the location to be near the city centers (Old Town, or Mala Strana in Prague). Any suggestions are most welcome!

I'm not sure what you mean by family room, but we just returned from Prague and found Hotel Maximilian to be a great deal! Very close to Old Town, reasonably priced, with lots of amenities. Might be worth a look.

Family rooms sleep 4 people (in this case) in one room.

you could try booking.com lots of places but not seen many places that will sleep 4 adults in one room (we call them dormitories).I have certainly been in a few places that can sleep 3 ,(3 Crowns in Zizkov for example).
You may want to look for an aparment and several do breakfast.

I have stayed in a couple of apartment hotels but they are well away from the city center but have been close to transport links.
I stayed here a couple of years ago and really liked it.

they have aprtmnet of several sizes and gave a very good breakfast. It is however near Namesti Miru Metro which may be a bit out of the way for you.
another Apartment hotel was the Hotel Letna but I really can'r reccommend that place to anyone.
I now use the Hotel Dap when I am in Prague (several times a year)This is a former Army officers Hotel and is still used by the military occasionally it does have some apartments.

It is out of the city center but on Dejvicka roundabout and is a very short walk from the Metro tram and buses, airport buis stops abpouit 150 yards away. I love the place, great breakfast and staff are all very nice, rooms more than ample, very clean, prices are a lot lower than places in the city center. You can walk to the castle area in about 10 minutes and the main city center is les than 10 minutes by metro or tram.

If you are planning three or more nights in each city, try this site. There are others very similar. vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/europe/hungary/budapest and vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/europe/czech-republic/prague
