Wild Sichuan!

It's amazing how little China is visited for wildlife and megafauna. Having lived here for three years, I have been blown away with the wealth of biodiversity this country has. There is little doubt that China ranks up with the big-boys for wildlife viewing opportunities. While it is a challenge to get to the remote areas, it is well worth the effort. Check out this trip report from an extended weekend I took last week - 2.5 field days ONLY! Seriously cool stuff.

Cheers,

Coke

Another nice set of pictures! Agree with Shanghainese - great to see the wildlife in these places you venture to.

Thanks everyone! It was a great trip - can't believe it took me so long to actually get out there. I would like to do it again sometime - but in more depth. Just got back from a weekend Qinghai again - great trip!

I can only wonder how the rest of Sichuan is doing with the most recent quake. What a tragically located region...
