Flight from Barcelona to Granada
Seems the best and quickest way to get to Granada from Barcelona is to fly. Have looked at Vueling and Iberia Airlines and it seems Vueling has a 0740 flight for $59 but that is a bit early problem is the only later flight is 2030. Iberia only shows a 1655 flight for $102, and Air Europa has a 0840 for $173 but takes 3+ hours. What gives?? Am I reading the schedule right? Thought I had read that it was so easy to fly to Granada from Barcelona.
Also given the schedules I am seeing, should I book in advance or wait until I get to Barcelona? days in Barcelona.
Help!!!!!

I am not sure what is your expectation of easiness in flying. Many flight itineraries these days don't have budget priced direct flights. What do you expect to gain by waiting until you get there? You can find this out by yourself easily. Just look at Vueling, etc, prices for next day, March 5th, for example and compare the prices/availability to what you found. Now, decide for yourself if you want to book flights after you get there.

Flying on 15 September 2013 - so have plenty of time yet.
Guess I just expected more than a single, .
very early flight from the second largest city in Spain to one of the more popular destinations-Granada.
Thanks

- GuessI am looking at a different Kayak site because I see no 10:30 flight - I do see 0700 and 0740 and everything else is after 8pm-
Prices are all over the place. Air Europa has one departing at 10:35 for $164. Iberia has one departing at 0910 for $334. There are even some flights that take over 8 hours and are well over $300. I give up - I know when to foldem when to walk away and when to run. Who knows maybe
I will walk to Granada.
I know when to foldem and when to run away so guess I will take a chance and wait until I get there to book. Who knows may end up walking.

Did that and did not see that fare. All I can think of is that I failed to give you the correct fly date. Our flight date from Barcelona would be 15 September.
Maybe it is just the Spanish way but I am having a hard time understanding why it is so difficult to get a flight from Spain's 2nd largest city to one of the most popular, at least for tourists , destinations.
Again, I do appreciate your help.

Granada is a small airport with limited destinations. It has 4 flights a day from Barcelona and they're cheap - you just have to get there early!
Malaga is the main airport in Andalusia - fly there then take the train if flying direct doesn't suit.
And FWIW I don't see the 10:30 flight either.

Well, not sure what is happening. At 3:16pm I gave the kayak web site for the second time.
I just now, again click on and there it was. 10;30am on September 15th..
Perhaps it's only on my computer.
