Question for a class Paper

Im doing some research for a school Project and I'm curious What everyone would like to see in a travel/reality style tv show.

would things like real life situation budget be interesting to anyone? Or would you only care for the Sights and Touristy stuff?

Open to hear all ideas. Thanks
Spud

You could give the same tight budget to every person/team.

And give them a list of places to go within a certain time-frame without going over budget.
Like Paris to Nice, stopping at specific places or doing specific things.

Points for coming in under-budget and/or in record time.

Ok so something like the amazing race but in an actual budget and experience based situation.

what about a travel type show say like madaventures style where they go to outrageous places and do crazy things. would you be curious about thing like that?

I guess I should have said more like "an idiot abroad" since a lot of people probably aren't familiar with madventures.

Spud, you might get wilder suggestions on other forums. Personally, I hate the Jackass/daredevil stupidity. Am also really tired of people eating gross things.

Ok, here's a different question. What is it you like to do on your travels that you don't see on these programs?

also could you maybe help point me in the direction of a different forum?

I have heard Lonely Planet's Thorntree is more budget-minded, and has maybe a younger audience

This site is used by students studying and traveling abroad:
https://www.statravel.com/

Here's an idea:
What if you offer a nice big college scholarship for students who will participate in your reality show. It would have a prize at the end of $100,000 for college. You'd have to come up with the program concept.

I post on Thorn Tree. While they are more budget-minded and backpacker-ish. They are extremely serious about travel. I doubt you'd get a much different response there about the clowning, idiot-goes-traveling idea.

<What is it you like to do on your travels that you don't see on these programs?>

Ii don't "do" anything on my travels, so mine would make for one very boring TV show.
