Ten Glorious Days in Barbados - Trip Report
Finally wrote a trip report about my 10 days in Barbados. This was our first trip to Barbados and we absolutely loved it - great beaches, great food and great people! Here's the link to my blog, which might be helpful if you are planning a trip to this beautiful island - lots of pics, beach photos, info about our hotel (Accra Beach Resort), restaurant info, etc. Happy travels!

Enjoyed your report and the pictures are just gorgeous. We are planning our trip for November, and can hardly wait. We decided to go AI, just because of the drink and breakfast cost factor at most hotels. We chose Mango Bay in Holetown. We debated long and hard about staying in the Gap area closer to resturants and bars, but the convenience of AI won out as usual. We're looking at day trips to Grenada and the Grenadines also.

Thank you KVR, TPAYT and Knowing for the kind comments!
@KVR, hope you have a fantastic trip! I am dying to visit Grenada - might be my next trip!
@TPAYT, I agree about the Accra but did love the pool and the beach.
@Knowing, Have a wonderful trip to Italy! In my blog archives, I also wrote about Positano and Tuscany, if you are interested in reading those too.

So glad you enjoyed your trip to Barbados. Thanks for sharing your blog and great photos.
Alas Bar Kanei is no more, but Sideshore Bar is operating in it's place. Fishcakes from Mr. Delicious are a must-do!

this is a lovely blog. thank you for sharing.
I actually came across your bog for Italy and could not believe there was one on Barbados.
I have been deciding on a holiday and would love to go to Italy, but my husband has had Barbados on his "bucket" list for quite a while.
As we live in Melbourne, Australia - quite a distance from Barbados, it will be a trek. However, after reading your report the decision was made. So am busy researching. Will have to leave Italy until next year.

I enjoyed your trip report, Bostonallison. I must have missed it back in April. I wasn't on the board very much then. When we went to Barbados several years ago we also took the bus to Oistens, but it was a little too crowded for me. The food was good though and it was a fun night.
KVR - Grenada has a Friday night Fish Fry that is similar to the one in Barbados. We didn't get to go in Grenada due to weather conditions that were ironically similar to what we're dealing with now. If we ever get to go to Grenada again I would definitely want to go.

Unfortunately, we had several home repairs come up this year that bit into our travel budget, so we are not going to Barbados this year. Instead, we bookd Cabo. So much less expensive. We'll try again for next December.
