Turks and Caicos in April

We generally go to T & C the last week of May/first week of June and found weather to be perfect and the beaches and restaurants not overly crowded. This year, we may have to go the last week in April and am wondering if there is any reason we would not want to go at this time. The workers always tell us May is the 'best' time to come, but I don't know how accurate that info is. Thank you.

There's only a 1 or 2 degree (F.) difference in average temperatures and only a 1/10th difference in rainfall between April and June so, weather wise it will be essentially the same as you are use to seeing.

"They" say May is the best time mainly because there's good weather and it's after the Easter crowds and before the influx of families who come during the school summer holidays.

So, there's no reason you shouldn't consider going at the end of April.

I love April!

And if whale watching has a longer season (it tends to die down mid April) then an awesome excuse to day trip to Salt Cay and whale watch, which is an experience!

PS. There's not a month I wouldn't go! ;-)

Does anyone know of any rentals by owners? I found something on VBRO but for some bizarre reason, the 3 weeks that are open for this 2 bd/2bath rental have extraordinary airfares as opposed to any other week. A difference of $200 to $250 more p/p. So now that I have a timeframe (end of April/into May) and am working on accommodations.
Thank you as always!

Susie - perhaps the rates are higher as it is April break in schools and the owners raise the rates then?

Spring Break in US ends April 7 this year.

There are plenty of rentals directly by owners on VRBO.com. Do a search by $ amounts instead of 2 bedroom, you might come up with 3 bedroom for same price, or 2 studios, etc.

Post your budget here, what your presences are (where you've stayed in past) that can help us help you
