Falaise - petrol on Sundays
In a few weeks we'll be heading for a ferry at Ouistreham on a Sunday and are thinking that Falaise would be an appropriate place to stretch our legs for a few minutes and fill the car up for the journey home.
From what I can make out there are two supermarkets in Falaise.
One is Carrefour on Place de la Gare with petrol round the back.
The other is to the north of the town near N158, it used to be Hyper U but now seems to have changed hands to LeClerc and presumably still sells petrol.
Please can anyone confirm that both these have 24 hour petrol?

In the end we didn't get to Falaise; the Brittanny Ferries strike meant we had to make a long drive to Calais instead of Ouistreham.
"The petrol stations at any hypermarket will operate 24/7 and they accept European cards."
Don't run yourself too low on fuel because you can't rely on your card being accepted. On two occasions, once last year and again this year, we had all our UK credit and debit cards rejected at the pump at a supermarket. This year it was at an Intermarché site, I think last year might have been too but can't be certain. Other occasions were fine.
